Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering

The skills taught in CTU’s Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering (BSCE) cover a broad range of topics, including computer hardware design, software development, microprocessor programming, and wired or wireless network design. CTU’s goal is to help you prepare to work as an entry-level computer engineer. To continue your education, you should also be prepared to start the Master of Science in Computer Engineering (MSCE) program.

Bachelor of Science in Computer Science

Immerse yourself in this rapidly growing industry1 with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science (BSCS) degree. In addition to important undergraduate foundation studies, this degree program helps you become well-versed in computer programming languages, knowledgeable about a variety of computer network systems, and equipped with software engineering skills.

When you add systems security and project management skills to the mix, you may be a strong candidate for that promotion you’ve been seeking or that new job you’ve had your eye on. Core courses include computer architecture, programming, introduction to UNIX, data structures, algorithms, operating systems, and programming mobile apps, to name a few.

Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice

People often think that criminal justice programs are all about solving crimes but, in reality, a degree in this field covers a wide range of subjects. A bachelor-level education in the criminal justice field can open doors to many different types of careers, including the multi-faceted legal system or within agencies engaged in the enforcement of laws. CTU’s Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice (BSCJ) degree program offers five concentrations to choose from and has multiple start dates throughout the year. The five concentrations are cybercrime and security; forensic investigation; homeland security and emergency management; human services; and a general concentration.

Bachelor of Science in Cyber Security

From private corporations to government entities, cyber security specialists play a role in the development of network security systems and protocols that ensure the protection of our most vital data. Colorado Technical University’s Bachelor of Science in Cyber Security degree program is built on a broad foundation of industry-relevant concepts related to computer forensics, vulnerability assessment, security compliance, and software assurance.

CTU also offers two concentrations: computer systems security and information assurance. If you complete any of these degree programs you will have the opportunity to take either the CompTIA Security+ or Network+ certification exams. CTU has been recognized by the Department of Homeland Security and the NSA as a National Center of Academic Excellence in Information Assurance and Cyber Defense (CAE IA/CD).¹

Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering

The Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering degree program is designed to help you prepare to enter this diverse engineering discipline that has become so important in our world today. From global positioning technology that can track the location of a vehicle, to sub-micron, integrated circuit (IC) chips that power today’s wireless technologies, electrical engineers are responsible for some of the world’s most exciting technological breakthroughs. Core courses include circuit analysis, embedded microcontrollers, CMOS design, signals and systems, electronic design, electromagnetics, solid state physics, and more.

The educational objectives of the Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering program are to provide you with the necessary expertise to be a productive, entry-level electrical engineer within the industry. It also should help you prepare for entry into the Master of Science in Electrical Engineering program.

The Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering at the Colorado Springs Campus is accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission of ABET.

Bachelor of Science in Healthcare Management

CTU’s Bachelor of Science in Healthcare Management degree is designed to help you prepare to work in a healthcare environment using skills in finance, community relations, and human resources management. The program’s goal is to help provide trained, business-focused healthcare workers with the appropriate general education, didactic theory, and hands-on skills necessary for those who wish to work in healthcare management. CTU offers two concentrations for the Bachelor of Science in Healthcare Management, informatics or general.

Bachelor of Science in Information Technology

If you want to be an IT professional, it’s important to choose a program that teaches the soft and technical skills needed to manage and disseminate the flow of an organization’s information with minimal interruption of its day-to-day operations. CTU’s Bachelor of Science in Information Technology degree is designed to help you gain these skills. As an IT student at CTU, you’ll benefit from a strong core of foundational courses as well as specialization-specific courses based on your area of interest. The information technology core consists of the key information technology areas of programming, systems administration, security, architecture, databases, and ethics. CTU offers seven specializations to choose from.

Bachelor of Science in Management

While CTU's Bachelor of Science in Management (BSM) degree gives you the potential to enhance your leadership abilities, you’ll also study how diversity and global business can tie directly into business and organizational efficiency. The degree was also designed to help provide higher-level leadership and group management skills. This includes examining the ways a team’s performance and collaboration impact organizations. It also gives insight into how teamwork can lead to improved productivity and help to meet specific organizational goals and outcomes. In addition to the BSM, CTU also has a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a management concentration.

Bachelor of Science in Nursing

A projected shortage in nurses qualified to fill vacant nursing positions³ means that now is a great time to further your education. For example, if you’re a registered nurse but don’t have a bachelor’s degree, you may choose to pursue a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree. While a bachelor's degree is not typically required for RN positions, it can help make for a more appealing candidate during the hiring process, and it may be helpful in qualifying for more advanced positions. There are eight different program start dates and the entire program can be completed in as little as 9 months. It’s focused, rigorous, and designed by nurses just like you.

CTU’s Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree program is accredited by the Commission of Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE).

Bachelor of Science in Project Management

Take charge of your future by learning how to take charge of key work projects with a Bachelor of Science in Project Management. Colorado Technical University’s project management program uses a practical approach centered on key knowledge areas defined by the Project Management Institute (PMI®) in the Guide to the Project Management Body of Knowledge, the industry standard for project management. Plus, you can explore how to employ the tools, principles, and techniques of continuous process improvement so you can keep striving for excellence. Six of our Project Management degree programs and concentrations are Globally Accredited by PMI® through the PMI® Global Accreditation Center (PMI-GAC).⁴

Bachelor of Science in Psychology

CTU's online Bachelor of Science in Psychology degree is geared to help you successfully navigate the 21st century "business of people." It prepares you with critical thinking, problem-solving, analytical frameworks, communication, business professional, and leadership skills. You can choose from three concentrations: general, consumer behavior, and organizational behavior.
