Financial Aid
CTU’s Military Education Benefits Specialists are here to help you navigate your education benefits and the financial aid process. Active duty, Reserve and National Guard receive a reduced tuition rate. When you’re ready to apply to a degree program at CTU, your first step is to visit your Base Education Center and talk to an Education Service Officer (ESO). They can give you the paperwork needed to get started with school and help you make sure that you receive any tuition assistance (TA) you qualify for and advise you about any military education benefits.
Transfer Credit*
Your military training and service may qualify you for course credit, taking you closer to an associate or bachelor’s degree. CTU uses the American Council on Education (ACE) guidelines to determine transfer eligibility for all newly-enrolled military students. Typically, transfer credit includes credit granted by a university for previous courses or programs completed. Along with standard transfer credit, students in the armed forces are eligible to submit a Joint Service Transcript (JST) to apply past military training and experience to their CTU classes. Our Military Occupational Specialty (MOS) Commitment provides a personalized and comprehensive review of all eligible credit including all MOS codes held.
*Not all credits are eligible to transfer. Acceptance of transfer credit is at the sole discretion of CTU. See the University Catalog for transfer credit policies.
