The government matches your contributions on a 2-for-1 basis. You will receive monthly benefits payments to use toward tuition and books.

Veterans Educational Assistance Program may be used for:

  • a college degree
  • certificate programs
  • technical or vocational courses
  • flight training
  • apprenticeship
  • on-the-job training

  • licensing and certification tests
  • entrepreneurship training
  • certain entrance examinations

Benefit entitlement is for 1-36 months depending on the number of monthly contributions, and may be used 10 years from the time you transition from active duty. If unused, the remaining portion is refunded. Learn more about VEAP eligibility by visiting the VA website here
