Yellow Ribbon Program and Yellow Ribbon Grant
The Yellow Ribbon GI Education Enhancement Program (Yellow Ribbon Program) is a provision of the Post-9/11 Veterans Educational Assistance Act of 2008, which allows institutions of higher learning to voluntarily enter into an agreement with the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) to fund tuition expenses and fees that exceed the annual cap established by Congress. Find out more about the Yellow Ribbon Program on the VA website at https://www.benefits.va.gov/gibill/yellow_ribbon.asp.
CTU has established a Yellow Ribbon Grant for eligible veterans, or dependents of eligible veterans, to receive an amount equal to the highest in-state undergraduate tuition rate at a public college or university. Eligibility and amounts are determined on an annual basis (on or after August 1st) and are subject to change.
To be eligible for the grant, a veteran must be accepted for admission to the University, be eligible for Chapter 33 Post-9/11 veterans benefits at the 100% rate, as determined by the Department of Veterans Affairs, complete the appropriate University Attestation form, and allow for the verification of their Chapter 33 Post-9/11 eligibility via a DD-214 Member-4, or Certificate of Eligibility, or comparable government document.
Financial aid is available for those who qualify.
