Master of Science in Computer Science - General

Colorado Technical University’s Master of Science in Computer Science general track explores operating systems and networking, computer system architecture, and the software system engineering process. Employment of computer and information technology occupations is projected to grow 13 percent from 2016 to 2026, faster than the average for all occupations, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics.1 This projected job growth is due in part to the rise of emphasis placed on cloud computing, big data collection and storage, and information security.1

The curriculum is designed to provide technical depth in computer science and in the three concentration areas—software engineering, security and database management systems. Evaluate issues that impact the development and modification of complex software systems. Choose from courses in enterprise systems, data analytics, software, networking and security, and operations management to design a schedule that best suits your interests and goals.
