Colorado Technical University's Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in International Business (BSBA-IB) gives students the opportunity to learn skills in finance, leadership, international trade law, global management, worldwide marketing and more.     Students in CTU's BSBA-IB degree program complete 180 quarter-credit hours, the equivalent of 120 semester-based hours. The degree program is composed of three components, including general education, core education and the area of concentration-International Business.

    General Education. Classes in English, government, literature, math and more make up the foundation of a student’s general education, which is 66 quarter-credits in all. These classes are primarily 100- and 200-level based and allow the student to build upon their basic knowledge. Students also choose between a government or history class, as well as a humanities elective or an Academic and Career Success course. Some of the classes required in general education include:

    • Composition: Writing and Research
    • Data Driven Decision Making
    • Introduction to the Sciences
    • Principles of Macroeconomics

    Core Education. CTU's BSBA-IB program requires students to complete 86 quarter-credit hours in core education. These classes build upon foundational knowledge and offer students the opportunity to build skills in business policies and strategies, marketing, organizational behavioral principles and more. Students also complete a 400-level business capstone course, which gives them the chance to apply any new knowledge to business-world issues. Some of the classes required for core education include:

    International Business Concentration. In the BSBA-IB area of concentration, students complete 28 quarter-credits. These concentration classes challenge students to understand the intricacies of international financial markets and global business.
