Patrick J. Fitzgibbons is a criminal justice professional with several years of progressive criminal justice and law enforcement experience.  During his tenure he has been fortunate to be assigned to different positions thereby gaining varying experience, and is currently a full time police detective. He works on a variety of criminal cases, and is very passionate about the criminal justice / homeland security field. Fitzgibbons is a military veteran serving with the elite 82nd Airborne Division (Paratrooper), and strongly supports our men and women in our Armed Forces.

He has several years of higher education teaching experience, both online and with ground campuses, and serves on CTU’s Criminal Justice Program Committee. He is a routine lecturer at police academies, and very much enjoys public speaking.

  • Why are YOU IN?

    I am IN because CTU provides quality higher education to a diverse student population. CTU also recruits the best and brightest professionals and their passion and experience is passed onto our dedicated and driven students. I am also IN because I like being part of a student’s learning and success.

  • What is your teaching philosophy?

    I believe in a partnership with the student, and in that partnership I will give 100% to that particular student’s success and I hope the student will give the same in return. I stress to students that this is their education, and I am here to help them succeed in their journey. I believe in academic rigor, but I also believe in being fair and accommodating when life’s unexpected events creep up. I also try to share my professional experiences with the students because they want to hear from a professional in the field.

  • Aside from higher education, what else are you passionate about?

    Spending time with family, fitness, golf, reading and of course – Higher Education!
