STATEMENT: I'M IN AND NOW I am a respected professional in my field not only within my company, but also within the network of marketing experts in the area.

Describe your educational and professional background.

After years of working inside sales for a steel company and doing construction at night, I knew it was time to obtain my college degree. Experience in the working world showed me how important education is. I never used to equate education to job levels or salary levels or quality of life. I knew I wanted something better for my family. Now, work and education are of the utmost importance to me – only my home life is higher priority. If I can parlay my education to obtain a career that affords me the ability to be flexible and be there for my family, then that is success.

How has CTU been part of your educational and professional path?

Because of my schedule, I needed a school that was going to be flexible. CTU offered the option of furthering my education without all the constraints of traditional brick and mortar institutions. It was refreshing to know that if I was delayed at the airport or spending several needed hours at the office late at night, I would still be able to log on when I got home (or even the next day) and pick up right where I left off. Life happens and I feel that CTU understands that.

How is your life different now that you've graduated from CTU?

Life since CTU is calmer. Since earning my degrees, especially the MBA, I feel more self-assured when preparing to launch, and then ultimately executing, projects at work. Now I walk into projects with a game plan that the executive management team will want to execute. I'm now more confident going to the table with a solution knowing that it'll accomplish a business goal or connect with a target audience. I also now have more time with my family and to pursue other goals, like assisting a business startup and consulting nonprofit organizations.
