Colorado Technical University Dedicates Fallen Soldier Battle Cross Monument

CTU Colorado Springs Battle Monument and Creator Ty HadleyOn Saturday, October 10, 2015 CTU Colorado Springs students, alumni, and faculty gathered with area community and armed services members in the campus courtyard to dedicate the Fallen Soldier Battle Cross Monument and honor fellow CTU student Apollo Antonio Santiago, a decorated soldier from Operation Enduring Freedom in Iraq who passed away in 2012 from injuries sustained while serving in a combat zone.

With Apollo’s family in attendance and colors presented by the Northern America Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) and U.S. Northern Command (USNORTHCOM) Combined Color Guard, Dr. Andy Cain, CTU campus vice president and chancellor, presided over the dedication ceremony. Command Chaplain and U.S. Navy Captain Brenda Bradley-Davila from U.S. Northern Command offered the Invocation and Benediction.
