Colorado Technical University Sponsors 4th Annual Chick-fil-A Patriots’ Festival

On September 13, 2014, Colorado Technical University participated as the presenting sponsor of the 4th Annual Chick-fil-A Patriots’ Festival. CTU joined more than 80 organizations in the Colorado Springs area in a community-wide effort to celebrate first responders and the charities that support them. This event, held at Mountain Shadows Park, featured a Flight for Life helicopter landing, displays of police, fire, and military vehicles, a patriotic ceremony with live music, an exciting Kids’ Zone, and a Walk, Run & Ride for Heroes.

Members of CTU’s Student Veterans Organization (SVO) showed their spirit and won the prize for Most Patriotic among the teams participating in Walk, Run and Ride for Heroes. The SVO is an organization that is designed to be a bridge from the battlefield to the classroom and from military life to civilian life. Together with CTU admissions counselors, the SVO was on hand to distribute information and answer questions about what it’s like to attend CTU.

The following charities benefited from the festival, and could use ongoing support:
