Innovation and Entrepreneurship: Innovators Peak Interviews CTU’s Jeremy Wimer on Why Colorado Springs is the Place to Be

CTU Staff Jeremy WimerAt our campuses in Colorado, we encourage people to make themselves visible by getting involved in the community to broaden our spectrum. Broadening our spectrum benefits the individuals who build new relationships through new experiences while also generating awareness of the value Colorado Technical University adds to the community.

Recently, Innovators Peak interviewed our very own Jeremy Wimer, manager of admissions services, Colorado Springs. Wimer moved to Colorado Springs in 2002 and has been very active in the Colorado Springs community and the nonprofit organization Colorado Springs Rising Professionals (CSRP), an organization focused on empowering young professionals in the region through professional development, civic engagement, mentoring, and networking. Innovators Peak is, in their own words, “a community-driven journalistic project to document Colorado’s new attitude towards technology, innovation and the human spirit.” Their mantra is “Future, Forward, Faster,” and they sought out Wimer, along with five other members, to tell CSRP’s story.

Wimer’s involvement with CSRP began when he was a supervisor at CTU, and now he is serving on the CSRP Board of Directors for 2016-17. When asked about how Colorado Springs is like Denver and why people should move their businesses and ideas to the area, Wimer responded, “Colorado Springs has just as much, if not more, to offer in the area of innovation and entrepreneurship.”

Check out Wimer’s complete interview here: “This Rising Professional Explains Why You Need to Move to Colorado Springs.”
