CTU Denver Conducts Fundraising Events to Benefit Newborns in Need

The Denver campuses of CTU recently conducted fundraising events to benefit Newborns in Need.   This program benefits Denver’s largest hospital, Denver Health, where nearly 4,000 babies are delivered each year.  Over 85% of these children are born to families who live below the poverty level.  Newborns in Need provides families with the supplies needed to offer the basic care for a newborn baby and ensures that new mothers leave the hospital with essential items such as diapers, blankets, formula, cribs etc.

Program Director Tiffany Howe and her Surgical Technology students held a campus bake sale to raise money, and CTU-Denver staff supported the cause by paying for the right to wear jeans to work on Fridays in April.   Additionally, both Denver campuses hosted a Baby Shower at which attendees donated cash, diapers, blankets toys and other items to benefit Newborns in Need.  Through its efforts, CTU-Denver raised nearly $600 is cash for Newborns in Need along with a truckload of diapers and other essential baby supplies.
