CTU Faculty Spotlight: Tommy Offill
Chances are if you’ve taken accounting courses at Colorado Technical University, you’ve met Adjunct Instructor Tommy Offill. He began teaching at CTU in August of 2005 and, over the years, has taught Accounting I, Accounting II, Financial Accounting, Cost Accounting, and Management Accounting.
When it comes to teaching, Offill said he wants to help others enjoy the fruits of learning something new in each class. “When a student says they enjoy my class it brings a smile to my face because I know I’ve made a difference and impact on their lives,” he said.
A Certified Public Accountant in the state of Texas since 1999, Offill earned his BBA and MBA from Texas A&M University-Commerce. When he’s not teaching, he enjoys spending time with his family, coaching his son’s basketball and baseball teams, reading books about personal finance, and watching college and professional basketball. Offill lives in Texas with his wife, son, daughter, and dog.
