CTU Wounded Warrior Scholarship Program
About the Scholarship
The CTU Wounded Warrior Scholarship program began in 2008, in partnership with the Yellow Ribbon Fund Inc., to provide an opportunity through education to a population with uncertain futures--those whose lives are forever altered by a debilitating physical injury while serving their country. Each year, 25 wounded service members and 25 spouses of wounded service members receive a full scholarship to attend CTU. The scholarships cover the full cost of tuition, course materials and fees, as well as a new laptop computer.
All CTU Wounded Warrior Scholarship and CTU Wounded Warrior Spouse Scholarship recipients complete their degrees online via the Internet, allowing students to take classes from anywhere in the world. The award-winning virtual campus* at CTU is a supportive environment for recovering service members to begin and continue their education as they receive rehabilitation services. Additionally, the virtual campus provides an opportunity for CTU Wounded Warrior Spouse Scholarship recipients to visit and care for their spouses as they recover without interrupting their studies.
CTU Wounded Warrior Scholarship Program
The CTU Wounded Warrior Scholarship program offers educational assistance to wounded service men and women as they recover from their injuries.
Scholarship Eligibility
Candidates for the scholarship must:
- Submit attestation and proof of high school graduation or equivalency documents. Acceptable documentation of high school graduation or its equivalency must be received by CTU by the first day of the second quarter in the degree program of study. It is the student’s responsibility to provide this documentation. Any student who does not provide documentation of high school equivalency prior to the first day of the second quarter in the degree program of study may be subject to cancellation from the University.
- Be an active member or Veteran of the United States armed forces currently receiving medical treatment for injuries suffered in combat or injuries received in the line of duty while serving in a combat zone during Operation Enduring Freedom or Operation Iraqi Freedom.
CTU Wounded Warrior Spouse Scholarship Program
When injured members of the military return home, spouses often find themselves taking on role of breadwinner. Moving from base to base presents an obstacle to pursuing an education and as a result, military spouses enter the workforce with limited education. In an effort to assist this population, CTU created the Wounded Warrior Spouse Scholarship program.
