In addition to the 32 hours of required courses, students pursuing an MBA choose 12 credit hours of 600-level Business or Management courses and complete the Management Capstone. The Management Capstone is helpful for students attending the traditional campus as well as for our online MBA program students.
In the Management Capstone, students can apply the content, concepts and knowledge developed in previous core and concentration courses to their specific academic programs. The course may require students to choose an area of interest or a current business issue that impacts the student’s organization or company, and then complete an in-depth project that uses discipline-specific strategies. Research methodologies can be used to prepare a formal report. The end result of the coursework students complete in the Management Capstone should be a comprehensive understanding of how the business world works and how students can use their skills to contribute to their companies’ success.
