People with skills in programming, networking, security, or database administration are using those information technology skills to make contributions in the fields of new applications, and cybersecurity.*** 

The CTU BSBA with a concentration in Information Technology is taught by instructors, many who have diverse application expertise, network architecture knowledge and security programming know-how. From implementing IT tools to developing e-business and “cloud” applications, you have an opportunity to prepare for a wide range of opportunities in IT.

Concentration coursework in this program is focused on providing core information technology skills that can be applicable in today's business environment. For example:

  • In Programming Concepts, students may learn problem-solving and flow-charting techniques as they examine programming concepts and apply constructs such as control structures, arrays, functions and procedures.
  • In Information Systems Security, students are introduced to the fundamental security topics and concepts that can be necessary for both the IT Technologist and Network Professional.
  • In Management for Information Systems, students can have an opportunity to explore a number of issues such as intellectual property rights, information policy, information technology trends and opportunities and the use of technology to generate a competitive advantage. Case studies could be used to provide the student with realistic experiences.
