CTU’s bachelor’s degree in Project Management is designed to help students prepare for the responsibilities related to planning, executing and supporting a wide-range of projects in business. While earning a degree in Project Management at our Colorado Springs campus or online, students have the opportunity to learn how to oversee a project from end-to-end and build proficiency in creating cost estimates, budget management, cost control, risk assessment, bid negotiation and contracts and performance reporting. Though Project Management is often associated with fields such as engineering and construction, these roles are increasing in the healthcare and information technology (IT) fields as well.1

Bachelor of Science in Project Management
In the Project Management bachelor’s degree program, students have the opportunity to learn how to lead business projects effectively. The curriculum features a practical approach to Project Management and focuses on the key knowledge areas identified by the Project Management Institute (PMI) in the Guide to the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK) – the industry standard for Project Management. Required classes may include Project Risk Management, Contracts and Procurement, and Project Performance and Quality Assurance, to name a few.
Master of Business Administration – Project Management
In our Master of Business Administration – Project Management program, students have the potential to learn how to construct plans, analyze project scope, determine needs and budgets, perform quality audits and assess and mitigate risk. The curriculum includes an in-depth review of the ten knowledge areas identified by the Project Management Institute (PMI) in the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK) and can help you prepare to enhance your ability to manage large, complex projects. Examples of courses you will take include Schedule and Cost Control Techniques, Contracting and Procurement in Project Management, and Strategic and Project Risk Management in Dynamic Environments.
Doctor of Management – Project Management
The Doctor of Management – Project Management degree program at CTU allows students to participate in a rigorous curriculum that integrates Project Management tools with management concepts. Students can also develop the skills to help them prepare to manage an entire lifecycle of a product or program. This concentration in Project Management is designed to expand the skills of senior-level program or portfolio managers. Students are challenged to contribute to the current body of knowledge in Project Management through scholarly research and writing. Available courses include Life-Cycle and Performance Management, Portfolio and Program Management, and Risk and Quality Management, for example.
