Dr. Bonnie White is the Nursing and Healthcare Program Chair at Colorado Technical University. In this role, she has accountabilty for coaching and managing faculty, and she exemplifies teaching and student support strategies while upholding faculty performance standards and student engagement policies.
Dr. White previously served as Interim Assistant Dean-DNP Program and Associate Professor at MCPHS University. As Interim Assistant Dean, Dr. White was responsible for development of curriculum and policies for a new online DNP program. In addition, she also developed elective education courses available to MCPHS University doctoral students in multiple disciplines. Dr. White has extensive experience teaching at the undergraduate and graduate level in both online and campus environments.
Dr. White is a committed educator who uses her leadership skills to be an agent for change and to support curriculum, instruction, and program development. Research interests are focused on the scholarship of teaching and learning. One particular area of interest is developing the scholarly writing skills of nurses. She is published in nursing journals and she is a frequent presenter at nursing and allied health conferences.
Dr. White is active in the profession as a member of Sigma Theta Tau International. Her clinical areas of interest are community and public health. She demonstrates her ongoing commitment to care of populations through her active volunteer involvement in public health initiatives focused on substance abuse and addiction prevention education at local, regional, and national levels.
