What Thought Leaders Never Stop Doing

A thought leader is one whose expertise is authoritative in his/her respective field. See why Colorado Technical University’s reach and influence fall in the same category.

Dr. Valerie Vann – Program Director, Undergraduate Business

CTU is a thought leader in education because they’re very focused. They’re also creating strategies that are very innovative for our learning for our students. Our faculty is very qualified and again, it keeps us just in the know of being the leader.

Dr. Connie Johnson – Provost and Chief Academic Officer

We believe that faculty need to bring in industry experience as well as academic experience into the classroom.

Dr. Kristy Smith – Vice President of Education

We have experts in our security studies, which is criminal justice and homeland security. For example, right now what is happening is the Black Forest fire in Colorado Springs. One of our program chairs is part of the incident command center. So they’re experts in their field and they’re putting it into action right now.

Richard Holloway – Program Director, Security Studies

What makes us a thought leader is first off having experts who know those areas who can talk about those areas effectively. And then we use our social media team to put those people out there. So we’re tweeting, we’re blogging, you know, we’re doing all of these things so that we can get out there and be in front of the conversation.

Dr. Connie Johnson – Provost and Chief Academic Officer

It’s really exciting. We just recently did a survey of our faculty and the percentage that work for major companies previously or who are engaged in fields right now is the majority of faculty. We believe that faulty need to bring in industry experience as well as academic experience into the classroom.
