Describe your educational and professional background.

Currently working on a Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice. I am currently a Logistics Security Specialist for Garda Logistics. I am CEO of Grey Wolf Hosting which provides hosting, domain names, and website development. I am also in the middle of the hiring process for a local Sheriff's Office for a Deputy Correctional position. I am a certified instructor by the state to license private security professionals in the state of Oregon; a requirement in order for anyone to become a part of the security workforce. I have successfully started, operated, rebuilt and sold three prior businesses.

How has CTU been a part of your educational or professional journey?

I have earned my Associate of Science in General Studies through Colorado Technical University. CTU is a big factor in my success within the criminal justice system. My education has been an immediate and direct influence on my workplace, success, and private life. Knowledge learned at CTU is raising me up to be an authority within the community in regards to criminal justice. It is exciting to witness how many doors can and will open for my future. A challenge I accept and will run after.

How does higher education help individuals work toward their professional goals?

Higher education is a key factor in this economy to stay focused, attractive to employers and to see the finish line regarding any goal in today's job market. To have a degree, such as a Bachelor's, is a much more attractive feature on anyone's resume; more than I could have ever expected. Higher education has a way to show to employers that you mean business and is someone that is worth a little extra attention; even in the hiring process. With the economy, in its current state, I hope that I am not becoming over-qualified; it really is that good! :-)
