“MRE—Eat Like a Soldier” Fundraiser

CTU and El Paso County Commissioners' Eat Like a Soldier DayOn November 10, 2015, CTU teamed up with the El Paso County Commissioners to support the “MRE—Eat Like a Soldier” fundraiser for The Home Front Cares. The project raises funds for Colorado military veterans and their families.

Dr. William A. Cain, CTU Regional VP and Colorado Springs Campus Chancellor, represented CTU as he presented the Meals, Ready-to-Eat (MREs) before the Board of El Paso County Commissioners at their weekly meeting. The County Commissioners were supporting Veterans Day by participating in the Home Front Cares fundraiser.

Earlier this year, CTU teamed up with The Home Front Cares for their annual fundraising gala to support military members, veterans and their families when financial crises interfere with their lives. The Home Front Cares’ primary mission is to provide emergency, responsive support and grants for Colorado service members, veterans and their families who have been impacted by deployment.
