This year’s graduation events will be held July 29th-30th at the Colorado Convention Center in Denver. The Project Management Institute’s Global Accreditation Center for Project Management Education Programs has awarded accreditation to CTU’s Bachelor and Master level degree programs. U.S. News & World Report, a provider of education rankings and advice for more than 30 years, recently named six Colorado Technical University online degree programs to its prestigious 2016 list of Best Online Programs.
The university’s intellipath™ platform and virtual learning program won Elearning! Magazine’s 2015 Best of Elearning! Adaptive Learning Content award. Through a series of questions, intellipath™ recognizes what students already know, anticipates what they’re ready to learn and tailors course materials accordingly; it allows students to move quickly over their existing knowledge so they can learn something new.
The GSMA, the global association of mobile operators worldwide, announced in February that Colorado Technical University was a finalist for its 2016 Best Mobile Innovation for Education Award for the university’s newly revamped CTU Mobile app.
For the eighth year in a row, Colorado Technical University offers full-tuition education scholarships to wounded active duty service members and veterans. Spouses and caregivers of wounded service members are eligible to apply as well. Learn more and how to apply.
Dr. Connie Johnson, Provost and Chief Academic Officer of Colorado Technical University, was recently appointed to the Online Learning Consortium’s (OLC) Bill and Melinda Gates Grant Advisory Committee (GAC). OLC is seeking to tap Johnson’s decades of experience in online learning as it oversees distribution of a $2.5 million grant for the development and deployment of advanced digital courseware solutions.
CTU students pursuing degrees in Criminal Justice at the Colorado Springs campus gained hands-on experience in processing a mock crime scene staged recently on campus. The CTU College of Security Studies and the student organization Lambda Alpha Epsilon Delta Psi Criminal Justice chapter contributed to the event’s success, inspiring many students to join the chapter’s membership.
U.S. News & World Report has named five Colorado Technical University online degree programs to its prestigious 2016 Best Online Programs lists. Selected from among more than 1,200 U.S.-based distance education programs, CTU’s online degree programs earned rankings in five categories.
PRESS RELEASE - COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (Jan. 26, 2016) – Colorado Technical University (CTU), a leading provider of campus-based and online higher education, recently announced its newly-redesigned mobile app – CTU Mobile – for Apple iOS and Android phones and tablets. Created to complement student’s mobile-centric lives, CTU Mobile offers users the ability to connect with the university, track grades and degree progress in real-time, and participate in courses from the palm of their hand.
When Deborah Fletcher’s daughter was injured in a vehicular accident in the military as a Marine, Fletcher dropped everything to become a full-time caregiver. She quit her job in the catering field and focused on helping her daughter adapt to the mental and physical challenges that lay ahead. Little did Fletcher know that this experience would lead to a new direction in her own life—as a student at Colorado Technical University.
Recently two ceremonies were held that acted as the culmination of the 2016 Colorado Technical University Wounded Warrior Scholarship program. Held in two locations, these events highlighted CTU’s dedication to the scholarship winners and the military community as a whole.
CTU Vice Provost Dr. Emma Zone (@DrEmmaZone) co-hosted the #WCETAdaptive Learning Twitter Chat with Niki Bray (@adaptivechat) on Thursday, December 10 at 7 p.m. CST. The hosts answered questions from other higher education leaders and educators, discussing faculty best practices with adaptive learning. “Serving as a guest expert for the #WCETAdaptive Chat was a fast-paced and fun way to share a lot about faculty engagement with adaptive learning in only an hour’s time,” said Zone, “Participants were interested in how CTU provides faculty training and ongoing support of adaptive learning to make it successful for students and faculty alike.”
On November 10, 2015, CTU teamed up with the El Paso County Commissioners to support the “MRE—Eat Like a Soldier” fundraiser for The Home Front Cares. The project raises funds for Colorado military veterans and their families.
