Colorado Technical University hosted its quarterly Doctoral Symposium at the Inverness Hotel and Conference Center in Denver on January 13-16, 2016. Doctoral candidates from across the country assembled to participate in workshops and make valuable connections with faculty, peers and alumni. The Doctoral Symposium’s 112 participants had the opportunity to meet and listen to guest speaker Dr. David Levy, a professor of management at the United States Air Force Academy.
CTU Colorado Springs campus hosted a fun, interactive LinkedIn workshop in early December 2015 for students, alumni, staff and community. Led by CTU Colorado Springs Campus Director of Career Services Jayme H. Brown, the workshop’s 32 participants learned how to leverage their professional network to their advantage. This hands-on workshop was held in the computer lab, enabling participants to work on their LinkedIn profiles and apply what they learned in real-time.
CTU Chief Academic Officer and Provost Dr. Connie Johnson (@Dr.ConnieJohnson) joined WCET fellow Niki Bray (@adaptivechat) to answer these questions and more during WCET's first Adaptive Learning Twitter Chat, which focuses on topics related to adaptive learning technology implementation, faculty engagement and student results. Dr. Johnson shared CTU’s adaptive learning experiences with participants, which included fellow educators and technology leaders, and highlighted how CTU is using innovative technology to help students pursue their personal and professional goals.
CTU Colorado Springs' Career Services is hosting a LinkedIn Workshop to teach students and alumni how to create and optimize a professional profile on the social network.
Finding time to fit education into a busy schedule is just one of the many challenges students face when deciding to pursue their education goals. CTU Career Services is pleased to present this one-hour Open House focused on helping students to overcome these challenges and discover the power of earning a college degree.
