CTU Vice Provost Dr. Emma Zone (@DrEmmaZone) co-hosted the #WCETAdaptive Learning Twitter Chat with Niki Bray (@adaptivechat) on Thursday, December 10 at 7 p.m. CST. The hosts answered questions from other higher education leaders and educators, discussing faculty best practices with adaptive learning. “Serving as a guest expert for the #WCETAdaptive Chat was a fast-paced and fun way to share a lot about faculty engagement with adaptive learning in only an hour’s time,” said Zone, “Participants were interested in how CTU provides faculty training and ongoing support of adaptive learning to make it successful for students and faculty alike.”

Driven Veteran Pursues Degree at CTU

For Andrew R. Chavez, a recently-retired US Army Staff sergeant, joining the military was just the “right thing to do.” Enlisting immediately after he completed high school, Chavez served his country for nine years before critical injuries caused him to be medically retired from active duty. Chavez reflects positively on his time in the military, but knew that he had to push himself further.

“MRE—Eat Like a Soldier” Fundraiser

On November 10, 2015, CTU teamed up with the El Paso County Commissioners to support the “MRE—Eat Like a Soldier” fundraiser for The Home Front Cares. The project raises funds for Colorado military veterans and their families.
