College-Level Examination Program
The College Level Examination Program (CLEP) allows you to take exams and get college credit for what you’ve already learned from your military experience, training, occupation specialty or independent study. Taking these exams may help you earn course credit, which will shorten the length of your military education degree program. CLEP exams are eligible as transfer credit to fulfill general education requirements at CTU.
CLEP tests free for military personnel. Many military bases offer CLEP testing through their on-base education centers. Speak with an Education Services Officer on base to find out more. For study guides and practice tests visit http://www.collegeboard.com/student/testing/clep/about.html.
You must receive a passing score on CLEP tests if you’d like them to be considered for transfer credit. You may take CLEP exams as many times as necessary. However, if you don't receive a passing score on an examination, you must wait six months before retaking the same test. At CTU, a copy of an official CLEP score report must be submitted in order to determine proficiency credit.
Financial aid is available for those who qualify.
