CTU’s Department of Military Education coordinates efforts across all CTU departments and locations to ensure relevant student support services meet the unique needs of our military, veteran and spouse students. CTU’s Department of Military Education recommends and coordinates the development of policy and procedures within CTU to ensure that our student services meet the need of this CTU student community.
Meet the Team
Josie Alcaraz – Director of Military Relations
Josie Alcaraz is University Director of Military Relations at Colorado Technical University. In this role, she has spent the last 6 years ensuring CTU’s military and veteran students receive the best support, flexibility and resources for military and veteran students pursuing their education. Alcaraz has been involved since the inception of CTU’s Wounded Warrior Scholarship program. Her responsibilities with the scholarship program comprise from working with external organizations in promoting the scholarship through assisting scholarship recipients to graduation. She earned a Master’s in Business Administration from Colorado Technical University and holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing in from the University of Iowa.
Stefanie Brueggeman – Manager of Military Relations
Stefanie Brueggeman is Manager of University Military Relations at Colorado Technical University. She joined the Department of Military Education at CTU in 2008. Over the past 4 years, she has been involved in the development of policy and procedures within CTU to ensure the best possible student services are available for military, veteran and spouse students. She leads the military social media initiatives within the University as well as operates the Military and Veteran Community on the Virtual Campus. Brueggeman serves as the Manager for the CTU Wounded Warrior Scholarship Program which encompasses internal and external relationship building, project managing scholarship program events and coordinating recipients involvement at graduation. She earned her Bachelors of Arts in Communication Studies from Gordon College in Wenham, Massachusetts.
