Program Requirements

All doctoral programs require a dissertation. Your dissertation records your research process, presents the findings and conclusions of your research, and suggests future research. You might also begin your research and dissertation at CTU earlier than at traditional schools.1.

  • Your doctoral dissertation is divided into two major segments: the proposal and the full dissertation.
  • You are responsible for developing the proposal and your mentor submits it to the University Review Board.
  • After it is submitted, you can begin your dissertation research and writing in your core dissertation courses until it’s completed, then reviewed by a committee.
  • These processes are conducted under the supervision of CTU professors.

Doctoral students are also required to attend a two-and-a-half day residential symposium a minimum of four times during their enrollment in the program. Symposia are held four times a year in Denver, Colorado.
