Dr. Rahim earned an AACSB bridge Post-Doctorate in marketing and management research (AQ Certified), doctorate of management in organizational development, and two graduate degrees in project management and business management. He has five nationally recognized professional certifications, including the Certified Manager (CM) certification awarded by the Institute of Certified Professional Managers, Project Management Professional (PMP) certification awarded by the Project Management Institute, Certified Fast-Trac Facilitator awarded by the Kauffman Foundation, Certified Project Manager (CPM) certification awarded by the International Association of Project & Program Management, and Certified Associate Business Manager (CABM) certification awarded by the Association of Professionals in Business Management.
Dr. Rahim was able to apply what he learned in school right away, which led him on a career path in business development, nonprofit administration, management consulting, and project management. He eventually went on to start several businesses and continue his education by earning a doctorate in management and a post-doctorate in marketing and management.
His experience in pursuing a terminal degree helped shift his career path to education. After a few short years, he went on to teach at some of the best universities in the nation, published dozens of articles and books, presented across the country at academic conferences, and held appointments as a scholar researcher, professor, program chair, entrepreneur-in-residence, lecturer, and university dean.

Why are YOU IN?
I’m in to support the mission of CTU in providing real-world, industry-current education that serves the need of nontraditional/career-focused students. We are a university made up of a diverse population of dedicated educators and practitioners from around the world. I get to help improve the quality of life of our students through education and contribute to their success.
What is your teaching philosophy?
I use my own experience to help guide my students to success. I use a “best practice” approach to mentor and coach them through their educational journey. My background as a practitioner-scholar makes me a well-rounded educator. By sharing my educational and professional experiences in class, I can help better prepare students for the “real world” by teaching the curriculum beyond the theory with real-life examples they can relate and connect to.
Aside from higher education, what else are you passionate about?
I am most passionate about social entrepreneurship, education, community development, and social justice. I enjoy the opportunity to help improve the quality of life of others through volunteerism, teaching, mentoring, and coaching. I am working on several micro-financing projects in Cambodia to help sustain entrepreneurs and farmers. My mission is to help improve economic development in Cambodia and other Third World countries by educating and supporting local businesses and entrepreneurs.
