o My teaching philosophy focuses on four simple basics: the sharing of knowledge, student engagement, practical application, and continuous improvement. I believe sharing knowledge occurs at all different levels, including students sharing knowledge with each other, faculty sharing with students, and students sharing with faculty. Engaging students help to motivate them to succeed in class and in their other endeavors. Practical application of content allows students to use the course content in their occupations and also enables students to bring in their experiences to the classroom. I continuously seek to improve my teaching by reviewing what went well during courses and what could have been done better.
