Colorado Technical University Criminal Justice Students Earn National Honors by Placing First in Crime Scene Processing
Students at Colorado Technical University's (CTU) Sioux Falls campus have once again competed against the best and won the respect of their national peers. For the third year in a row, CTU's Delta Lambda Chapter of Alpha Phi Sigma, the only national criminal justice honor society, placed first in the crime scene processing competition at the joint conference with Alpha Phi Sigma and the Academy of Criminal Justice Sciences, recently held in Boston.

Employer Survey: CTU Online Graduates are Well Prepared for Their Careers
- Nearly all employers surveyed said they are "extremely likely" or "likely" to hire another CTU Online graduate
- Nearly all employers rated the preparation of CTU graduates as "excellent" or "good"
A majority of companies that employ Colorado Technical University's online graduates report that these workers have the skills and knowledge necessary to succeed in today's competitive, technology-driven work environment, according to a survey of employers released today by the University.
More than 190 employers from every state within the continental United States responded to the survey, which asked employers to evaluate the career-preparedness of CTU Online graduates working in their organizations. Employers were asked about an array of professional competencies, including information technology skills, reasoning abilities and ethical conduct. Responses were received from multinational corporations, mid-sized and small businesses, government agencies, and non-profits, among other organizations.

Brown College Signs Articulation Agreement with Colorado Technical University
In order to provide students with more competitiveness in the job market, Brown College has signed an articulation agreement with its regionally-accredited sister school, Colorado Technical University (CTU). This articulation agreement will offer Brown graduates of the Bachelor of Science Degree in Criminal Justice an opportunity to enter the Master of Science in Management with a Criminal Justice Concentration at Colorado Technical University Online (CTU Online). Colorado Technical University Welcomes New Head of Criminal Justice
Colorado Technical University (CTU) announces the appointment of James R. Grayson as Chair of the College of Criminal Justice and Public Administration. Mr. Grayson comes to CTU from a criminal justice teaching post at Pikes Peak Community College, and has been an adjunct professor at Colorado Technical University since 2004. Grayson has extensive experience as instructor of graduate and undergraduate programs in law enforcement operations and report writing, introduction to criminal justice, criminology, criminal law, crime lab management, court management, law enforcement management, and corrections management. He earned a Master's of Public Administration degree from the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs and a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice and Political Science from the University of Southern Mississippi. He is currently completing a Doctorate of Management with a dissertation on police accountability at CTU. Grayson has served for more than 20 years in a variety of capacities with the El Paso County Sheriff's Office in Colorado Springs, Colorado – with his last position being the Commander of the Patrol Division.

Pueblo Residents to Receive Free Medical and Surgical Treatment during "A Day of Surgical Giving"
On May 10th, Colorado Technical University will participate in a day of Surgical Giving in the Pueblo area. International Surgical Missions at Parkview Medical Center, in partnership with Pueblo Surgery Center, will provide medical personnel, supplies, and medications needed to perform outpatient surgical procedures for individuals in need who otherwise could not obtain treatment. Three operating rooms, a colonoscopy screening room, and minor surgery rooms will employ approximately 30 volunteers, including a team from CTU.

Twenty-five Wounded Service Members Receive Full Scholarships to Colorado Tech Online
Twenty-five United States service men and women at Walter Reed Army Medical Center have been awarded full Wounded Warrior Scholarships from Colorado Technical University Online (CTU Online). Recipients were chosen by a ten-person scholarship selection board including former military officers and Career Education Corporation educators and chaired by Tammy Duckworth, Director of the Illinois Department of Veterans' Affairs, a Major in the Illinois Army National Guard, and a Wounded Warrior herself. The recipients, who come from across the country, were honored at a dinner on March 8, 2008, at Walter Reed, which was attended by General Richard A. Cody, the Vice Chief of Staff of the U.S. Army.
