The Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (BSBA) is designed for students interested in an opportunity to learn knowledge, skills and confidence that may help them pursue the another level of professional opportunities within their chosen field. Colorado Technical University offers a concentration in Logistics and Supply Chain Management that may help students learn the specialized knowledge and skills to reduce inventory cost, improve customer service and provide an organization with greater flexibility and competitiveness.

With the globalization of the economy and the rise of e-business, logistics and more effective and efficient management of the global supply chain has become an element in keeping businesses competitive.

The CTU BSBA with a concentration in Logistics and Supply Chain Management is taught by instructors, many of whom have relevant knowledge of how to manage a cost effective, efficient global supply chain. The program covers qualitative and quantitative techniques of distribution management, inventory control, procurement, and supplier management from a global perspective.

Concentration courses in this program are focused on providing an industry-current relevant overview of the global supply chain. For example:

  • In Transportation and Distribution Management, students may concentrate on the commercial aspects of delivering raw materials and finished product including an analysis of packaging techniques, transportation modes, distribution optimization, storage and warehousing.
  • In Material and Inventory Management, the course content can examine current principles and techniques employed in managing inventories as an integral part of a company’s supply chain, with an emphasis on learning to develop the right mix of inventory locations and levels to minimize cost and maximize profit.
  • In Contract Management, students may study the contract life cycle from contract formation through contract closeout, with an emphasis on proper contract structure to handle contractor mal-performance and prevent contract litigation.
