In this career-focused curriculum, students will be given the opportunity to learn how management professionals formulate the policies and direct the operations of corporations, non-profit institutions and government agencies. Successful completion of this program can prepare graduates to demonstrate an understanding of the fundamentals of management, including how to:

  • Apply appropriate concepts and principles of business administration to participate in effective, ethical decision-making
  • Explain the nature and role of business in global markets
  • Demonstrate professional written and verbal communication skills
  • Compare and contrast the different forms (size, structure and legal entities) of businesses

In addition to the general education requirements, the ASBA with a concentration in Management includes career-focused courses taught by instructors whose real-world experiences have provided them with the tools and insights necessary to understand and analyze the characteristics of human beings and organizational situations. Their firsthand knowledge and market-relevant perspectives offer students the opportunity to learn from management professionals willing to share their understanding of today's demanding business environments.
