Local Student Rocks the Vote, Goes to Congress

Sonia Thomas, a student at the Kansas City Campus of Colorado Technical University, was selected as the winner of the first annual Rock the Vote Essay Contest. "The essay gave students the chance to share their thoughts and reflections on why their vote counts and what it represents, and encouraged them to be creative and to celebrate their vision in crafting their response," said Peter Correa, President of CTU's North City Campus. Sonia's prize is the opportunity to represent CTU and the 6th Congressional District of Missouri at the 2008 United States Model House of Representatives in Washington D.C.
