Dr. Rockie McDaniel’s educational and professional history consists of an earned Doctorate in Healthcare Administration from Phoenix University, buttressed by twenty-plus years of practice as a Registered Nurse and Advanced Practicing Nurse, both in the U.S. Navy and civilian context. He has developed and operated several rural healthcare clinics in his home state of Kentucky, providing general and specialized care with a team of physicians, nurses and ancillary staff. McDaniel maintains continuing education classes to become informed of new paradigms of healthcare issues.

Why are YOU IN?

I’m “in” at CTU because I find personal fulfillment in contributing to a larger team mission: to provide a real-world, needs-based education that can benefit students and employers. I feel fortunate and honored to work with the CTU faculty who epitomize work ethics of integrity and authenticity contextualized in a shared goal of educational excellence. Here, we really believe that students matter!

What is your teaching philosophy?

I bring to my students information accrued from “real-world” experiences and classroom curricula. Didactics and praxis constitute the theater of the medical arts: Both are crucial to effective healthcare pedagogy. It is my espoused mission to share both the text and the context of efficacious healthcare with my CTU students.

Aside from higher education, what else are you passionate about?

I am an avid weight lifter, and enjoy riding motorcycles and water sports. More importantly, I am passionate about spending quality time with my family.
