Dr. Harmon is responsible for overall academic leadership of the Doctor of Computer Science degree program, as well as the campus undergraduate and master’s degree programs in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, and Digital Media Design.
He held an executive leadership role at Synopsys and worked at Hewlett Packard for 17 years - 3 years of which were in an executive capacity. Through his work in research & development, he has been responsible for the product development and sustainment of over 10,000 products for the worldwide market.

Harmon has written numerous articles and conference papers on molecular computing as well as on the design and verification of huge digital integrated circuits. He also writes a bi-monthly column on the future of the electronics industry for “CONNECT!” the newsletter of the IEEE Pike’s Peak Section.
